The True Meaning of Being a Tourism Ambassador
Tourism Ambassador, what do people think about it ? What do you think about it ?
Well, maybe you think that tourism ambassador is someone who is elected to become a public figure to improve the tourism and culture of certain regions. Yap, that’s right! That’s tourism ambassador.
Then, how to become a tourism ambassador?
Maybe you will think that to be a tourism ambassador you must have an attractive face and posture like a model. Hold on! That’s not true! I say yes, if you have an attractive face and your body’s amazing like a fashion model, maybe you could be one of them. But that’s not the main point of becoming a tourism ambassador. Becoming a tourism ambassador is not the same as becoming a fashion model. So, if you want to be one of them, you have to know the whole things about the tourism, and how to increase the culture and tourism. You must have good knowledge, skill, communication, talent and creativity. Why? Why must we have all those things ? The answer is because a tourism ambassador is not a statue. Yaps, beautiful face and amazing body is not a must to become a tourism ambassador. If you have the whole things like I said before, then you can become one of them.
But it’s okay if you disagree with me about what i have said before. As far as we know that many tourism ambassadors are not like what I said. Maybe some of them do not have the whole things, but how could they become the tourism ambassador? Hold on . . . We don’t need to discuss about that. It’s a life. Welcome to our beautiful world! So, because of this some of them do not have a complete package to become a tourism ambassador.
Well, if you want to become one of them, let me give you some advices. . .
Love the cultures!
Why do we have to love the cultures? I think I don’t need to answer this question, this is tourism ambassador, what are you thinking about ?! So, culture is the most precious treasure in this world. Culture is a special characteristic of certain region. Culture is the things that we must protect and preserve. And culture is a one of the duties for a tourism ambassador to be introduced to the world. So, get to know and learn the culture.
Love the universe!
If you don’t love the universe, I suggest you to leave this earth. What’s in your mind if we don’t protect and conserve this universe? Where we will live? So, not only for becoming a tourism ambassador, as a human we have to protect, conserve and love this universe. Well, this is a big duty for the tourism ambassador. As a tourism ambassador, you have to get used to protect the environment, keep it clean and encourage others to take action the same way. Don’t be afraid to be dirty because of picking up trash. I remind you that tourism ambassador is not the same as fashion model. Just forget your desire to be a tourism ambassador if you are still thinking like a model. This is one of the duties of a tourism ambassador to introduce the beautiful side of your region to the world.
Learn in all the aspects!
Knowledge, skill, communication, talent and creativity. Those are all the aspect to be carried out as the duty of tourism ambassador. You need the knowledge about cultures, universe, attraction, etc. That’s not funny if you have no knowledge about this whole things. You can learn it from the community, internet, traveling activities and library. Then, the second thing is skill, you must need it. You can get it from your experience in doing your duty as a tourism ambassador. Then the third thing is communication. This is a big thing that you must learn. You must learn how you speak in front of public, you must learn to communicate in (local, national and international) languages and you must learn how to speak with the good attitude according to the culture in your region. You can get it from your experience in doing your duty as a tourism ambassador too. Then the fourth thing is talent. Don’t worry if you have no talent in traditional culture scope because the talent of every individual is unique, so use it for your activities in doing your duty as tourism ambassador and try to learn your traditional culture. If you can do it, you are awesome. Trust me, if you have big passion to learn it, you can do it! And then the last thing is creativity. You are young and smart, so use it to be a creative person. Becoming a creative person is not difficult, just try to think out of box, then do it! Creative things can make you awesome and able to do all your duty as a tourism ambassador with the satisfying result.
